Fab Five by Abey Lane Quilts Giveaway Winner

Fab Five by Abbey Lane Quilts is about to have a new home!!!  The good news is, I remembered to do the drawing without Gene reminding me.  How is that for progress?  The bad news is I forgot to leave a comment so I could not be entered into the giveaway...dang.

Can you believe there were 97 comments?  We are schmokin' with the comments folks.  If I had 97 copies I'd give everyone a copy.....however I only have one.  I visited the Random Number Generator dot org and the magic genie over there came up with #82 who is:

H2Ogirl

So, H2Ogirl, please e-mail me with your full name and address and I'll get your book in the mail to you.  I've decided to give folks 3 days to reply.  If after 3 days I don't get an e-mail from H2Ogirl, I'll draw another name.

I think with all the energy everyone seems to have for giveaways these days I'll just go ahead and post another one soon.  I will be leaving in the morning for PA to visit with my dear friends there.  I have printed all the kind comments people left for my friend Kay who lost her last surviving child tragically.  I've received several cards here at the house and I will take them along with me to pass along.   All of you who took the time to leave a comment for her or mail a card, just know it will absolutely touch Kay's heart.  May we all find comfort for our darkest hours.

Friday through Sunday I will be having the extra pleasurable opportunity to sew with my girlfriends at the Lake House (that is where IHAN started).  A retreat....oh yes....I'm feeling braggadocios....do da do da do da day!!!  I'm excited can you tell?

Smiles,
Kelly

Threads - The Basics and Beyond - Who won?

by Debbie Bates and Liz Kettle

Last Friday's post was a review of Threads, The Basics and Beyond and there were 59 comments at my last check.  So I ran over to the ole Random Number Generator and here is the number that came up. I hope you are all very proud of me now....I was able to do a screen print, go to Paint, copy it there and crop it....I want a star on my computing forehead!!!  The last time I did this, I took a digital photo of the screen....see, you can teach an old dog a new trick :)

Be right back....I forgot to see who number 51 is....LOL...Progress  not Perfection, Right?  Right!!

I'm back....here is the comment for #51

The Cutting Revolution by Anita Grossman Solomon Giveaway

Pat Sloan announced the winner of the the complete Cutting Edge Ruler Set today.  Angela was the grand prize winner.  Congratulations Angela!

IHAN is giving away Rotary Cutting Revolution by Anita Grossman Solomon.  Before I draw the winner I want to tell everyone a little about this book.  I had intended to doing a review long before now and I did not do it.  My apologies to Anita because this is one great book.

For all of you that are new to the IHAN blog, I have the pleasure of reviewing books, patterns and products of my choosing.  There is no personal gain or benefit to me when I do these reviews (unless otherwise stated).  When I got to Market I have the opportunity to get some free books and products.  There are no strings attached to these items....just given to shop owners for personal or business use.  IHAN chooses to review the books and give them away.

Anita's book really is a tough one to give away and I'm not kidding.  She is known for the phrase, "Make It Simpler Way," and Anita certainly does make it Simpler.  For me, that is a good thing because I hate wasting fabric because I've misunderstood the directions and cut it wrong.  There are so many photos of each step so there is no way to go wrong.  Anita lays out each block and shows you how to cut it all out at one time.  I will be buying a copy of this book for myself for sure!!!

The very lucky winner of Rotary Cutting Revolution is Robyn of Coffee and Cotton Blog.  Congratulations Robyn!!! Please e-mail me at IHaveANotion@yahoo.com with your full name and address.  I'll get this book into the mail to you right away....so sad to see it go :(  But happy to have had such a wonderful response to Pat's Blog Hop.  Thank you to everyone who stopped by....feel free to come and visit anytime.  I always enjoy your comments.

Smiles,
Kelly
